Dirk Richwine, recreation superintendent for the Henderson Parks and Recreation Department, was named a fellow of the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration. Membership is limited to 125 individuals nationwide. Richwine will be inducted Oct. 18 in Minneapolis.

Zoltan Hollo is managing partner of Insight Realty Associates. Hollo purchased a 25 percent share of the business from its owner, Jim Zeiter. Jacint Simon is a sales associate for the company. Before joining Insight, he was with Re/Max Commercial Professionals and Grubb & Ellis | Las Vegas.

Theresa Fette, CEO and partner of Provident Trust Group, was presented with the M&A Adviser 2010 40 Under 40 Award.

Bryan Bledsoe is medical director of MedicWest Ambulance, overseeing clinical policies and procedures, narcotics and clinical issues, as well as investigations of all departments that provide patient care. Bledsoe is a clinical professor of emergency medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and at University Medical Center. Eric Anderson is medical director of the Health Science Center for the company, overseeing all aspects of education. Anderson was a life flight physician and is director of emergency medicine at Southern Hills Hospital.

Michael Yackira, president and CEO of NV Energy, was named chairman of the board of Nevada Cancer Institute.

Laura Alcaraz was promoted to national account manager for Desert Companion magazine and Nevada Public Radio. Alcaraz was a senior account executive.

Andy Maiden is executive vice president of marketing and communication for Terra West Property Management. Maiden was with World Market Center Las Vegas before joining Terra West.

Alissa Nagel has joined the Vision Source of Las Vegas network.

Corporate giving

Mandalay Bay employees delivered a portion of 14 pallets of school supplies donated by Mandalay Bay convention guests to Keller Middle School, with the rest being delivered to Teacher EXCHANGE.

Millenium Staffing Services and STS Staffing donated more than 300 school supply items to HELP of Southern Nevada to assist with its Back to School Supply Drive.

The Nevada Staffing Association, in conjunction with Johnson Jacobson Wilcox, completed its “Suit-to-Suit” business suit and swim suit drive to benefit SafeNest. Suits, shoes and accessories were donated to assist women who are returning to the workforce.

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers donated 100 percent of its Sept. 6 profits from its five Las Vegas locations to Opportunity Village.

The Public Education Foundation, Harrah’s Entertainment and the Harrah’s Foundation — the founding members of Teacher EXCHANGE — distributed school supplies to new and first-year teachers at the Clark County School District.

The Danoski Clutts Building Group has completed tenant improvements on the second Erwin Pearl boutique at McCar-ran International Airport, located in the D Gates corridor.

Eugenia Larmore and Candace Evart, formerly with Meridian Business Advisors, have started Ekay Economic Consultants, a firm specializing in governmental economic and fiscal analysis, litigation support and gaming feasibility services. The company’s website is www.ekayconsultants.com.

The Rotary Club of Las Vegas Northwest has been renamed Rotary Club of Las Vegas Summerlin.

St. Rose Dominican Hospitals – Siena Campus has earned the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Centers. The Siena Campus earned this distinction after the Joint Commission conducted an on-site review in early August.

Eighth Avenue Pizza has signed a five-year lease at Southern Highlands Fire Station Plaza and Nicolo Cucina Italiana signed a five-year lease at Southern Highlands Marketplace with Territory Inc.

United Way of Southern Nevada honored Las Vegas Councilman Stavros Anthony and Bryan Guiot of Nevada Volunteers as well as various members of AmeriCorps, directors of various agencies and several representatives of United Way of Southern Nevada for their service to the community in a ceremony Aug. 20.
