Tropicana to hire 140 workers for new restaurant

The Tropicana hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip is hiring 140 workers for a new restaurant.

The resort will begin the hiring process Monday for positions at Café Nikki, which is set to open in November.

Tropicana is looking to fill a range of positions at the restaurant, including management, servers and kitchen staff. The positions are both full-time and part-time. Jobseekers can visit the Tropicana website to apply.

Café Nikki is the first piece of Nikki Beach, a pool-nightclub concept the resort announced in May. It’s set to open in spring 2011.

The Tropicana is spending about $165 million to renovate the casino floor, restaurants, convention center, pool and hotel rooms, with plans for future attractions like a nightclub-pool complex and The Mob Experience.
