Floyd Mayweather Jr. delivers online rant against Manny Pacquiao

Friday, Sept. 3, 2010 | 1:02 p.m.

WARNING: VIDEO CONTAINS OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE

A 10-minute video posted to YouTube on Thursday featuring a racist rant by Floyd Mayweather Jr. against rival boxer Manny Pacquiao has quickly caught the boxing world’s attention.

Mayweather (41-0, 25 KO) refers to Pacquiao (51-3-2, 38 KO) as a "midget," makes repeated references to the Filipino’s race and accuses him of using performance-enhancing drugs.

“I’m gonna fight the Pacman when he’s off the power pellets,” he says.

The two welterweights are considered the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world, but have been unable to agree to terms that would see them meet in the ring.

Negotiations between the two sides fell through for a potential fight on March 13, when Pacquiao refused Mayweather’s demand that random blood testing be administered before and after their fight.

The two camps reportedly engaged in more negotiations this past summer, however, a deal was never made and Mayweather’s camp later insisted that talks with Pacquiao never took place.

In the video, Mayweather, who defeated Shane Mosley on May 1, says he doesn’t know if he wants to fight again — but then quickly adds he’ll beat Pacquiao whenever he does return to the ring.

“I don’t know if I’m going to fight again. I’m on vacation for about a year,” Mayweather said. “When we do come back, we are gonna kick (Pacquiao’s) ass.”

  1. How is 'midget' and 'power pills' racist? I miss something? Poochie is only because he's not smart enough to pronounce his real name. lol

  2. lol. Love Floyd. So entertaining. More money then anyone else in Vegas.

  3. shayne: exactly. He doesn't remember what he's saying anyways. These videos are cut together from a bunch of different times. Obviously he's drunk or whatever else in the middle of the night.

  4. Mayweather is racist and chicken. It's a bunch of False Bravado, he probably put the video out high as a kite.

Lesnar crouched in pain after the strike and eventually fell to the mat. Overeem rushed in and threw a few more strikes, but Lesnar had nothing left.
