- Woman, 25, killed in DUI crash identified (8-19-2010)
A Las Vegas man is scheduled to stand trial Tuesday for allegedly rear-ending and killing a woman while he was driving drunk in August 2008 in the northeastern part of the Las Vegas Valley.
Clyde Raible is charged of driving under the influence resulting in the death of Jorgina Ivonne Hernandez, 25.
Raible is to have a pre-trial status hearing Friday and his trial is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday before District Judge David Barker. Court records show Raible had been under house arrest, but is currently out of custody on supervised release.
Hernandez was killed about 10:55 p.m. Aug. 18, 2008, as her car was stopped at a light in the northbound through lane of Boulder Highway at Flamingo Road. She was pronounced dead at the scene and the Clark County coroner's office later determined she died of multiple trauma wounds.
Metro Police said a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Raible, who was 32 years old at the time, was also traveling north on Boulder Highway and struck the rear of her 2004 Hyundai Sonata.
