Metro Police released images Thursday of a man wanted in connection with the knifepoint robbery of a cab driver Aug. 24 near Las Vegas Boulevard and Charleston Boulevard.

Metro Police released surveillance video today of a man who allegedly robbed a cab driver last month at knifepoint.

Metro Police released surveillance video today of a man who allegedly robbed a cab driver last month at knifepoint.

Officials said the man entered the cab about 10 p.m. Aug. 24 and asked for a ride to the 1100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard.

After arriving at his destination, police said the man asked the cab driver for change for a $50 bill. As the driver pulled out money, the suspect allegedly held a knife to the victim's throat and demanded the money before running from the area, police said.

Officials described the robber as a white man in his 20s with black hair, about 5-feet-11-inches tall and about 180 pounds.
