Interstate 15 near the Las Vegas Beltway interchange has reopened after emergency crews cleared a seven-car accident that happened this morning in the south Las Vegas Valley, Nevada Highway Patrol officials said.

Highway Patrol Sgt. Scott Scrivner said the accident, which caused one car to roll over, happened at 7:42 a.m. Officials weren't sure how many people were hospitalized, but Scrivner said there were no serious injuries.

Emergency vehicles and tow trucks had blocked the northbound lanes of I-15 during rush hour this morning as they worked to clear the scene.

  1. Thats a straight stretch, how the hell do you pile up like that. I'm blaming some idiot on a phone, texting, or some broad putting make up on.

  2. vegasguy - YOU HAVE TO BE A COMPLETE MORON to get in a car accident with merging traffic. If you are not on the cell phone/texting/makeup, you are PAYING FRICKEN ATTENTION TO THE ROAD. When there are cars merging, you allow room for them to merge.

    STUPID DRIVERS.

  3. LVSUN, I've seen many times woman doing makeup in the morning while driving and they swirve into other lanes, knee driving. I see it every single day.

Those white traffic cones they put between the express lane further north are a great idea. Keep stupid people in line. They should have more of them.
