Crash location

A multi-car crash involving two school buses caused traffic backups today on northbound U.S. 95 at Flamingo Road, Clark County officials said.

Clark County spokeswoman Stacey Welling said emergency crews responded to the accident at 11:17 a.m.

Nevada Highway Patrol Sgt. Scott Scrivner said the accident scene involved seven vehicles, including two school buses, in three separate crashes, but no students were on the buses.

It appears the accident caused minor injuries, officials said.

Scrivner said the cause of the accident hasn't been determined, but the crashes likely happened in a chain reaction after the initial collision.

Two northbound lanes on U.S. 95 were shut down as emergency workers cleared the scene, he said.

  1. Thankfully no students were on board. Could you imagine the lineup of lawyers that would be on scene?!
