Celtic Woman, an all-female Irish ensemble that has gained international acclaim, will bring its unique sound to the Henderson Pavilion at 8 p.m. on Sept. 5 as part of its “Songs from the Heart” tour.
David Downes, a musical director for the “Riverdance” stage production, founded the five-member group in 2004. Celtic Woman’s songs and performances capture traditional and contemporary Irish music in a “breathlessly dramatic” show, national reviewers have said.
“Celtic Woman’s unique Irish sound and signature style will be an entertaining cultural experience you don’t want to miss,” Andrea Primo, Henderson’s director of cultural arts and tourism, said in a statement released Wednesday.
The group has debuted two albums in the Billboard Top 200, earned an Emmy nomination and performed on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.”
Tickets start at $35 and can be purchased at hendersonlive.com. Gates open at 7 p.m.
The Henderson Pavilion is located at 200 S. Green Valley Parkway.
