It pays to be nice, even for politicians

One of the best corrections ever from the Tahoe Bonanza this week: “In his 'Election Endorsements' column last week, Ed Gurowitz mistakenly stated that Rep. Dean Heller’s office was rude and unwelcoming to a delegation advocating action on pancreatic cancer that included Incline residents. In fact Heller’s office received the group cordially and was receptive; it was Sen. John Ensign’s office that was unreceptive.” So Heller: Nice. Ensign: Mean.

In this election cycle, due to the current economic conditons, people are very upset with
the current regeim in Washington D. C. Any incumbent is seen as part of the problem and has
steped upon the toes of all Americans. Passing
Health Care Reform, against the will of the people.
Passing a Finincial reform bill that has yet to be written, restoring the Clinton tax hikes (Bush
Tax Cuts) are just a few of the things that have
been done by the Democrats and the current Congress. The discussion of Amnesty for the Illigal Aliens, closing GITMO, and bail out of
companies "To Big To Fail" at the expense of a
massive debt has upset voters from all parties and
walks of life. This election will be the turning
point of our nation either way. The results
will be loud and clear as the polls close on Novemer 2.
