Parking garage
A city-operated parking garage in downtown Las Vegas was evacuated Friday after a “suspicious package” was found near a vehicle. The package has since been “deemed safe,” said Metro spokesman Jay Rivera.
The package was found about 12:25 p.m. near 3rd Street and Clark Avenue, and Metro’s bomb squad was called to the scene, police spokeswoman Barbara Morgan said. At 3 p.m., the area opened again, Rivera said.
Police weren't releasing information about what might have been inside the package.
