CARSON CITY – Gov. Jim Gibbons, injured last month while trying to ride a horse, has been released from a Reno hospital and is recovering at the governor’s mansion in Carson City.
Gibbons left Renown Regional Medical Center’s Rehabilitation Unit over the weekend, according to a statement from his office.
He will be using a wheelchair or walker for the next several weeks and will undergo outpatient therapy.
Gibbons broke his pelvis Sept. 21 when he was bucked from a horse at Pyramid Lake, north of Reno.
The governor’s mansion is equipped for handicapped use.
