Angle would set us back to Bush years

I cannot understand why anyone wants to vote for Republican Senate nominee Sharron Angle. Has everyone forgotten that it was the policies of President George W. Bush that got us in trouble, not Sen. Harry Reid? We gave Bush eight years to take a surplus from the Clinton administration and create a mess. Angle supports those policies, which benefit only the wealthy and big business. Have we not learned?

Angle wants to privatize Social Security. Think what would have happened had Social Security been privatized when the stock market plunged.

Angle wants to privatize the VA. Our veterans served this country and were willing to give their lives and now Angle wants to end the VA as we know it, denying veterans benefits they earned. Perhaps she should take a trip to Afghanistan and actually see our troops in action.

Reid has been fighting against the Yucca Mountain project. I am sure there are many senators who want to see Reid defeated, especially those who represent states that have nuclear waste. Angle wants to bring nuclear waste to Nevada, making our state unhealthy, unsafe and a prime target for terrorists. Reid is the only one who can see to it that Yucca Mountain is never built.

We cannot allow Nevada to be represented by Angle, who has said nothing about how she will help the middle class and still believes in deregulation. Angle, coupled with Sen. John Ensign, who is under a cloud of investigation, would be disastrous for Nevada.

Be mindful when you vote.
