Bank robbery

A Henderson bank near Green Valley Parkway and Interstate 215 was robbed Friday afternoon.

A man entered the Chase Bank, 1000 W. Green Valley Parkway, Suite 600, at about 1:45 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money, said FBI Special Agent Joe Dickey. The man wasn't armed, he said.

No one was injured during the robbery, Dickey said.

The man was described as white, about 50 years old and 6-feet tall with a medium build. Officials say he was wearing a blue and white striped shirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap.

The man’s getaway vehicle wasn’t identified, Dickey said, but he was seen walking through the parking lot to his car after the incident.

Dickey said the FBI doesn't believe the robbery is related to one that occurred at 11 a.m. this past Friday at the Bank of America branch at 2820 Bicentennial Parkway in Henderson’s Anthem neighborhood.
