A spokesman says Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons remains hospitalized, but is preparing to call in to his first administrative meetings since he underwent surgery to repair a broken pelvis.

Gibbons aide Dan Burns tells The Associated Press the 65-year-old Republican governor planned to meet Monday with state budget and transportation chiefs at Renown Medical Center in Reno.

He plans to call in for Tuesday's Department of Transportation and Board of Examiners meetings.

Gibbons was hurt when he fell from a horse Sept. 21 at a ranch north of Pyramid Lake.

Burns says doctors inserted two 10-inch bolts, a plate and several other screws to repair Gibbons' pelvic injuries.

Gibbons told the Nevada Appeal for a Sunday report that doctors tell him that with rehabilitation he should recover completely.
