Amber Alert canceled in Nevada after 3 boys found safe

Amber Alert

Updated Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010 | 10:40 a.m.

The Amber Alert issued Wednesday night for three brothers last seen in Spokane, Wash., has been canceled.

The three boys were found safe this morning, officials said. Their father, Chad Phillip, is in custody in Butte, Mont.

Spokane Police said Chad Phillip picked up the boys — Bishop Phillip, 6, Dawson Phillip, 8, and Kaleb Phillip, 10 — from their mother but never returned with them Wednesday evening.

Police activated the Amber Alert because the father has a history of domestic violence against the mother and children, officials said.

Authorities said Wednesday that Chad Phillip was possibly headed to Indiana with the boys.
