Nightlife news & notes: Rolling Stone’s Hot party, AMG’s world-domination and sake

Reality TV stars Whitney Port and Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola at the Rolling Stone Hot Party.

That’s hot. The Rolling Stone Hot Issue party parked itself at the Mirage last weekend with Jet opening early on Friday to welcome celebs and celeb worshippers to the semi-private party. Pete Wentz was spotted (hope he was taking notes on DJ/producers Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso’s set in case he tries to DJ again), and also at the soirée were Holly Madison (who we’re pretty sure has at least one clone to attend so many events), Bam Margera, The City’s Whitney Port and Sammi “Sweetheart” from Jersey Shore. Fellow Shore-ite DJ Pauly D fist-pumped the next night at Moon.

Angel Management Group is one step closer to world domination. The company behind Godskitchen Thursdays at Vanity and Daylife Sundays at Wet Republic first took over Rehab at the Hard Rock, then Vanity this summer, and rumors had circulated for weeks about more expansions for the lifestyle and hospitality company. Now it’s official: Announced September 29, AMG acquired Pure Management Group and all of its venues, including Pure Nightclub, LAX and Social House. (Side note: PMG’s Christian Audigier the Nightclub at Treasure Island quietly closed last week before the AMG takeover announcement as legions of men in rhinestone shirts shed solitary tears.)

Drinking saves lives this month as proceeds from the Pink Ribbon Saketini at Kabuki—a fresh strawberry, Nigori sake and cranberry cocktail created by sommelier Yuji Matsumoto—will be donated to Susan G. Koman for the Cure. If you can’t get enough of the limited-time-only beverage, we’ve got the recipe here.

Speaking of sake, mark your calendar for November 4 at 8 p.m. as Little Buddha at the Palms hosts a Hitachino Japanese Beer and Sake Tasting of the entire line of ales, plus a sake menu with selections reportedly being presented in Vegas for the first time. The $25 all-inclusive wristband gets you not only admission to the tasting, but hors d’oeuvres to complement the drinks.
