2 teens sought in robbery of Palo Verde students in Summerlin

Robbery

Metro Police today were continuing their search for two suspects in the armed robberies earlier this week of four Palo Verde High School students in Summerlin.

The students were robbed at gunpoint at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 2600 block of S. Town Center Drive at a bus stop on the way to school, said Metro Police spokesman Marcus Martin. No one had been arrested Friday.

Martin said the victims suffered “physical violence” against them. The suspects stole items, including iPods, cash and cell phones, Martin said.

Police are seeking two men in connection with the crime. The first was described as wearing a green bandana on his face, blue jeans, and a gray, hooded sweatshirt. The second was described as wearing blue jeans, a black, hooded sweatshirt, and was holding a gun when the crime occurred, police said. Both were described as black males between 15-18 years old who stood about 5-feet-4-inches tall, weighing 140 pounds with a thin build, police said.

Anyone with information about the crime is being asked to contact police through Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
