Wynn Resorts ‘very happy’ with union agreement
Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 | 11:23 a.m.
Wynn Resorts has signed a collective bargaining agreement with the Transport Workers Union covering table games dealers at the Wynn Las Vegas resort, the company said today. (More details about the agreement)
"The management of Wynn Las Vegas is very happy and frankly quite surprised that the contentious issue of dealer tips has been resolved in a mutually satisfactory way through this new contract with the dealers' union," Wynn Resorts chairman and CEO Steve Wynn said in a statement.
"The contract is completely satisfying to the company in that it provides a very flexible and rational framework to deal with the challenges of casino management in the next 10 years. At the end of the day, the union representatives were able to focus intelligently on the fundamental necessities of management's flexibility in today's challenging casino environment," Wynn said.

of course he's pleased. The union completely capitulated to his demands. Nothing has changed for the dealers except they continue to lose their hard-earned tips AND now they have to pay union dues. Schmucks...
No doubt Dave, all these schmuck employees got was the union taking money out of their pay checks. The smart ones that voted against the union are the ones I feel sorry for.

If the management is 'very happy and frankly quite surprised' that can't be good.
And if the unions are 'very happy and frankly quite surprised' then everyone bend over and ...
He's so happy that is why he kept trying to get the union to pull some of the agreements out even after the ratification. Dealers should all be happy that they are no longer "at will" employees! and sw cannot take any more hard earned tip money. Now if the government entities would quit taking pay offs and follow the law...we would all be alot happier!!!
Of course the unions are happy, why would they care about the dealers? All they wanted was a piece of their paycheck!! Which of course, now they'll get.
It is a "right to work state". No one has to pay union dues unless they want to but they still get the same protections and rights as dues paying members. Jenlv-get your facts straight. The TWU has spent over 2 milion dollars organizing the Wynn dealers with not one cent in return. It would take years, if every single person paid to recoup the expenditures! There are some people left in this world that work for the betterment of "lavor rights" that the corporations have paid the politicians to take from us!! Where will your children work?
I can see why Nevada had a "nut case"seditioness candidate for Senator.
TWU strikes again. The dealers hire the TWU (Transport Workers) union to represent them? A union that works for transportation workers...bus lines/airlines an even the cable cars in SF. They have historically caved in to company demands and continue to do so. The only thing TWU knows about Las Vegas is when they have their drunken conventions here. They used to have it at fine hotels such as the "Westward Ho". Good luck to the dealers. Your getting what you paid for.
That is all unions are good for know days , dues..................! in the past they where needed . But there time is over stop paying these guys for nothing.
