Urijah Faber killed the suspense leading up to his first ever weigh-in as a WEC bantamweight by revealing he was on weight via his Twitter account.

But that didn't stop a slew of his fans from showing up to watch.

Both Faber (23-4) and his opponent, Takeya Mizugaki (13-4-2), came in at 136 pounds during Wednesday's official weigh-in for their main event fight Thursday at The Pearl at The Palms.

The fight will be Faber's debut at 135 pounds and his first since dropping a unanimous decision to current featherweight champion Jose Aldo.

"I'm ready," Faber said. "The cut was a little difficult at the end, but I feel great. I've got a great opponent. Mizugaki comes forward and he can take a beating."

All but one of the 22 fighters set to compete on Thursday's card came in on weight.

Lightweight Zach Micklewright missed the 156-pound limit by two pounds and was given an extra hour to shed the additional weight. He's scheduled to fight Dustin Poirier on the night's undercard.

In addition to Faber, the crowd inside The Palms gave warm welcomes to his Alpha Male teammates Joseph Benavidez and Chad Mendes.

The WEC event will serve as the second-to-last card in the company's history. After establishing a home for the best lighter-weight fighters in the world since 2006, the WEC is set to merge into the UFC at the start of 2011.

The first fight of the night is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. The main portion of the card will air live on VERSUS.

UFC 158
Nick Diaz fails to back up years worth of talk

UFC 158 A welterweight title fight that felt incredibly different wound up remarkably the same. Georges St. Pierre manhandled nemesis Nick Diaz with his wrestling. St. Pierre won every round on every judges' scorecard in Montreal for his sixth straight unanimous-decision victory. Diaz had preached his superiority over St. Pierre for years, but when he finally got his chance, he looked as helpless as all the other challengers to the 170-pound division's throne in the last six years. St. Pierre's consistency continued to amaze. Now it's on to Johny Hendricks, who defeated Carlos Condit in the evening's co-main event. Could he be the one to finally threaten St. Pierre?
