Two Las Vegas resort companies have signed on to offer discounts through Facebook’s newly released Facebook Deals app.
Both Harrah’s Entertainment and the Palms announced this week that they are offering special discounts through the mobile app that was introduced by Facebook on Wednesday.
With the app, users can receive buy-one-get-one-free vouchers for the buffets at Caesars Palace, Harrah's, Flamingo, Planet Hollywood and Imperial Palace, as well as other deals at Bally's, O'Shea's, Paris and the Rio.
At the Palms, guests can upgrade their room or extend their stay at the hotel another night — on the house.
Users can find the deals by checking into a place on the latest version of Facebook for iPhone or through touch.facebook.com. Nearby places with deals will have a yellow icon. Then, guests must show their phone to the cashier to receive their deal.
In addition to Harrah’s and Palms, Tao and Lavo nightclubs will add a user to an upcoming guest list for checking in.
The Facebook Deals app is still in beta testing and more businesses are planning deals in the coming weeks, Facebook said on its blog Wednesday.
