Coroner identifies man killed in Warm Springs Road crash

Fatal accident

The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified a Honolulu man who died after his car struck a tree Thursday as 41-year-old Jashua Choy.

Metro Police responded at 2:40 a.m. to the one-vehicle crash on Warm Springs Road near Windy Street, which is just west of Las Vegas Boulevard. Police said Choy’s 2010 Suzuki SX4 was eastbound in the left travel lane when he lost control of the vehicle.

The Suzuki veered northeast, crossing the westbound lanes, striking the north curb and hitting a palm tree, investigators said. The vehicle then rolled onto its passenger side.

Choy was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The coroner’s office said he died of blunt force trauma to the chest. His death has been ruled an accident.
