Gibbons campaign takes to radio waves

Gov. Jim Gibbons, a rare gubernatorial underdog in his own primary, is going negative, as the parlance goes. His campaign unveiled four radio ads Monday that will begin running in Reno. “These ads bring home the message that Jim Gibbons works every day for all Nevadans to reduce spending, hold the line on taxes and protect our state rights,” his campaign boss Ron Bath gushed in a release. “He works for all Nevadans.” My heart is all aflutter. He also has nicknamed the frontrunner “Spend-it-all-Sandoval” (think they used a rhyming dictionary?) as a way to contrast himself with ex-Judge Brian Sandoval. But Sandoval has out-no-new-taxed Gibbons, who acknowledged agreeing to tax increases during the special session. Quick, judge: What rhymes with Gibbons?
