A 23-year-old woman who was a Jack in the Box employee was shot to death this morning in the parking lot of the fast-food restaurant.

Metro Police responded at 5:45 a.m. to the business at 7510 W. Lake Mead Blvd. after a caller reported the shooting. That location is near Lake Mead Boulevard's intersection with Buffalo Drive.

Authorities said a man was last seen running eastbound on Lake Mead Boulevard.

The shooting is the second in two days in which a store employee was shot and killed in the Las Vegas Valley.
