Metro Police released video surveillance photos today of a man wanted in connection with a bank robbery that occurred earlier this week near Fort Apache and Russell roads.

Police said the man went into the bank about 5:50 p.m. and approached the teller with a note demanding money. The man had a semi-automatic handgun in his waistband, police said.

After the teller handed over money, the man left, authorities said. Police weren't identifying the bank.

The robber was described as white, between the ages of 25-30, 5-feet-10-inches tall and 170 pounds. He has blond hair and is clean-shaven.

Authorities said the man was last seen wearing prescription glasses, a ball cap, a navy sport coat, a white shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is being asked to call the Metro Robbery Section at 702-828-2591 or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-285-5555.
