LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
Obama getting stymied by Republicans
Thursday, March 11, 2010 | 2:04 a.m.
I am so frustrated. Why were the Republicans allowed to run us into a near-depression over an eight-year period, but we expect President Barack Obama to fix it in eight minutes? I do not think that can happen.
What happened to turncoat Sen. John McCain, who said he would work hard to help Obama get things done? Instead, he has fought Obama every inch of the way about everything.
“Start over” on health care reform means it will get tabled and not get done again. Ted Kennedy tried for 40 years and did not get it done. Why do Republicans say the American people don’t want this reform? Republicans are the ones who don’t want it. Reform would affect all the money that opponents of health care reform get from insurance companies.
Meanwhile, how can anybody in Nevada even think about not voting for Sen. Harry Reid? Finally, the state has some pull in Washington. He has been working so hard to get things for us. It’s an uphill climb all the way. He has to stay in that job.
To put a Republican in there would be a disaster. If Sue Lowden thinks she can walk into Washington, D.C., and get somewhere — think again. No freshman lawmaker can get anything done for years.
And all these members of Congress who are quitting their jobs are doing it because they are so fed up with the way things are done in Washington. Give President Obama a chance.

There isn't anyone in the Congress that can explain the Health Care Reform bill with any certainty. The only people that know are the lobbyists. They will profit the most from it. If it is so damned good for us why is everybody confused. Obama has been asked to explain it many times and all he does is go into some convoluted diatribe about how we need it. That's not good enough. If it passes there will be very many apologies made by the incoming officeholders as to why they can't change it and we will just be saddled with another entitlement program and another huge bureaucratic mess to contend with.
Why all the fuss over 30 million uninsured citizens? The biggest reason they are uninsured is because they won't make the required sacrifices to buy the coverage. As far as being turned down for pre-existing conditions. They're not being turned down, they are being rated as a higher risk and the premiums are higher. If they had taken a policy out at an earlier age they would not be rated higher. The offenders are the people under 35, they think they'll never get sick so they don't buy insurance. Now tell me, do you feel sorry for them?
Obama couldn't fix anything. He lacks the intelligence.
Ms Phillips, if you want healthcare why don't you pay for it? You are a freeloader and the taxpayers owe you nothing.
I can think about not voting for Harry Greid beause he is a despicable little crook.
"I am so frustrated"
"I am so frustrated"
"I am so frustrated"
----------------------------------
Tell me about it.
We have a President waste our time and OUR money borrowed from China, on everything else - stuff we do not want.
After a year in office still NO small business JOBS program
After a year in office still NO REFORM for our financial system
After a year in office and 5 or 6 try NO FIX to forclosures.
Obama has had a chance and all he worries about is his health care legacy. Wheres the worry about jobs? gasoline at $2.69 a gallon?? foreclosures?
The man wants his legacy and will go to any length to get it including throwing anyone under the bus that gets in his way.
He needs to grow up and face the issues Americans are worried about, not his wish list.
"Waaahhhh...my emperor has no clothes..." No sh*t, Sherlock! We tried to tell you that before you elected him!
He's not Presidential timber. Never was, Never will be. He is the residue of basically a malaise of good judgement. This Health Care mystery is as confounding as the chicken/egg thing. If he got off the subject and got busy with a legitimate job program, ANY job program maybe, just maybe he'd help us out. Remember the movie 'Dave'? "It's Monday! and everybody works on Monday" Who said it? A goal to achieve, Someone to love, and a job to do.
Maybe we expect "eight minute" fixes from the Chosen One because the Democrats made this guy out to be the second coming in the past election. Obama and his Obamabots are responsible for the high expectations.
No intelligent right wing posters here. Just innuendo, slander, and low brow name calling. These posters are all as crazy as Glen Beck or former Congressman Massa.
Give Obama a chance?
Did not he have a election honeymoon period and a filibuster proof majority and a strong majority in the house?
What does he need....training wheels????????
Obama failed the leadership test--so soon.
This lame duck attempted "transformative change"
and found out Americans are not going for it.
His lame excuse for a Chief of staff, dead fish Emannuel needs to take a hike. The Republicans are gaining strength through Obama's, Pelosi and Reid's failures--these are arrogant individuals, and America is tired of their heavy handed tactics. The liberals have lost!
Pelosi says
"Sure the health care bill isn't perfect. Just pass it we can fix it later". How can you trust a politician, the majority leader, when she says something like that? How can you trust a bill when she says something like that?
If a politician tries to pass a bill by pushing her weight around instead of passing it for the good of the people, how can we trust whats in the bill?
If the majority in the senate bribe a state for a vote, how can we trust what's in that bill?
If the public finds out that illegal aliens are to get benefits from the bill by just showing a social security card( fake cards, social security cards are not to be used for identification) and the citizens of the USA will be paying for their benefits. How can you trust the bill?
If the party in majority creates the bill behind closed doors in a partisan way, How can you trust whats in the bill?
I'm so sorry that there are citizens who really need a health care program and have legitimate medical problems. We can thank the Democrats for not working in a bipartisan manner to produce a bill that can be trusted. It seems we can't put all the blame on the Dems ,but the've got the majority of the Health care weight on their shoulders.
Please, Congress, produce a bill good for americans only and let's get it passed, millions of U.S.citizens are waiting and our memories are getting keener, waiting for election day.

Wake up call. Obama acts just like a Republican....
Obama acts like a Marxist born in Indonesia, don't you mean?
Wailer Pat Phillips is so frustrated...
Obama, Reid and Pelosi have controlled the complete law making branches of the United States for the past year.
Yet they squandered most of the "peoples time" on trying to pass the piece of crap of a health care bill that America does not want...
Now, Pelosi has ordered committee chairmen to postpone all hearings so lawmakers can meet to chart a course for one last sales job on President Obama's signature health care overhaul.
In other words, the government business has been brought to a standstill while the political powers in place try to force this bill into law.
NOW THIS ONE IS GOOD...
Pelosi says...
"We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy."
WHAT???
mshaffer, i have a lot black friends that voted for Obama and now they regret voting for him. So mark shaffer are u in touch with the black comminuty? can u explain ur post on innuedo, slandering,Glenn Beck, Massa? Mark can u just do us a favor and not comment or would like for us to hear your theory on GOREBULL WARMING again and again!
Calthompian - Your information is so bad it's laughable. Higher premiums for pre-existing conditions? You must be joking. You'll get nothing but 10 foot pole marks from an insurance company no matter how much you offer to pay them due to a pre-existing condition. Man, you comments are so uninformed maybe you should think about not posting, or finding a site for middle-school kids.
Larry, even you can't deny the republicans have used parliamentary tricks to clog the Senate. They set a new record for the most filibusters ever.
Instead of working together, the republicans in the Senate decided to become a de-facto roadblock to the 58 Democrats in the Senate.
As far as Nancy's quote, the context is quite clear if you hadn't cherry-picked a single sentence out. The republicans and the corporate-sponsored tea party spent most of last year screaming about death panels and killing Grandma.
Their lies (you're familiar with those) were repeated so often, some people think they're true.
When health care reform passes, the American people will begin to see the benefits almost overnight. There are tax credits to small businesses, mending the donut hole for prescriptions for our seniors, "It would make it illegal for insurance companies to drop coverage for Americans of all ages. No longer would pre-existing conditions be grounds for denying coverage. All insurance companies would be required to begin covering preventive services, helping to shift our health care approach from sickness to wellness care."
I think that's why, according to pollster.com, less than 50% of Americans now oppose health care reform. The trend line is declining. The more people know about the benefits, the better.
http://www.pollster.com/blogs/2010-03-10...
Obama is getting stymied by his lack of a cohesive thought.....but sure, blame everything on the Republicans.
Republicans tried to stop this, but couldn't.
House Democratic leaders on Wednesday banned budget earmarks to private industry, ending a practice that has steered billions of dollars in no-bid contracts to companies and set off corruption scandals.
The ban is the most forceful step yet in a three-year effort in Congress to curb abuses in the use of earmarks, which allow individual lawmakers to award financing for pet projects to groups and businesses, many of them campaign donors.
I think Pelosi said it right when she said to just pass the bill to find out what is inside it.
Pelosi is like Obama in a lot of ways. Affirmative action baby, a dangerous, dangerous demogogue, and anti-Constitution all the way.
625: That's the number of people who lost their health insurance every hour in 2009.
A statistic like that tells a frightening story -- losing insurance can happen to anyone. How many more Americans have to lose their health insurance and how many more businesses have to drop coverage before we fix our broken health care system?
We've been debating what to do about our broken health care system for decades -- not just this past year. Every idea has been put on the table. Every argument has been made. Everything there is to say about health reform has been said It's time to decide how to reform our health care system to give American Families and businesses the security and stability they deserve.
WillieTanner,,,Many states have a system that allows such a product. Depending on the condition. Obviously if a person is terminal there will be no such offer. Like I said, They will offer a policy that has been rated up depending on the situation.
However I appreciate your candidness on my post you ignorant sphincter.
Willie sounds like a guy that never bought insurance until he got sick. He probably took his progenitors advice. A very high percentage of that tribe use the Emergency Room for all their health care, costing the taxpayers huge sums of money. I have all the faith in the world that this Health Care reform bill will pass with an up or down vote, providing the proper amount of pork is added so that the greasy Pelosi can go down in history with her Dark Master.
Then and only then will we realize any contributions from the likes of a WillieTanner type to support the costs of this colossal mess.
Maybe that is. That group of people will probably howl like hell until the government gives in to them and absorbs all costs.
Sen. Reid is working to move Nevada forward and turn our economy around.

Some people only want to buy auto insurance the day after their car is stolen too. Is that a pre-existing condition?
I will gladly pay you on Tuesday if you give me a hamburger today.
Hey Pat: President Obama and the Democrat control Congress want to take over 70% of the "Entire US. Economy" He is no friend of small business' He also said that health care reform would be shown on C-SPAN. And you say give President Obama a chance' To do what run are life's for us. NO,NO,NO, / He also dos not understand that there is more important things to worry about then trying to create government jobs, green jobs, and union jobs. Also try to remember this the Government dos not create jobs "People Do"

Hmmmmm......I have to ask. Are you talking about our current president, or the guy who continually walked around in the White House lost in a clueless fog.....who, at one point in time, almost choked to death on a pretzel?
You know the guy I'm talking about?
The guy who said several times, "god wants me to be president.."
The guy who loved to tell jokes, but could never remember the "punch line."
The guy who gave new meaning to the concept of "mastering the English language in spoken form...."
The guy who pushed for the invasion of a foreign country before he knew exactly where the country was located....
The guy that historians are already saying is one of the worst presidents this great country has ever had...
Is that the guy you're talking about? Is that the guy who still has no clothes?
That site is a advertisement for politician. Isn't there a law against that? Lets sue.

What do the astronauts put in their sandwiches?

I just switched my party affiliation to the Democrats, now whenever I am accused of being incompetent or just plain ignorant I can blame a Republican....... Now I can sleep at night.
I guess the letter writer isn't keeping up with Obama's blatant disregard for the CBO's estimates....... oops I meant abuse. He must have had a teleprompter malfunction.

Educated by grandparents in private, exclusive institutions. (Occidental College and Harvard). Yet, Barry has never produced a lick of production in private enterprises, and is adept at hoodwinking plain old citizens. I give you: Barry Hussein Obama, the Kenyan-produced socialist.
Can we blame George W for this too?
POWERPLAY.....POWERPLAY.....
I'm so very disappointed in you. I had come to believe that you were showing a great deal of promise in your posting....but then, out of the blue came:
"To do what run are life's for us."
Sorry, but I can't read "pig Latin" or Sanskrit...care to interpret?
I just hope you're not a product of our local public school system....If that is true, and PvtRock, jlb101, LarryVegas, Gibby, and Rhooster gets wind of that.......well you know what will happen!....
They will take that bit of information and run with it forever, demanding that public education be trashed, and replaced with private schools, charter schools, and tax breaks for "home schooling." School vouchers will become as common place as water in the Pacific Ocean, and teachers unions will be banned from the planet....
In hindsight, don't feel bad about your post....Maybe the "wrecking crew" won't see it.....
Once again the wingnutz are "yada yada yada" "koolaid" and more. Do research by going here and see what bills are being proposed and enacted on.

Hmmmmmm....I believe PierreBeauRegard just might be right! There's communists, "reds," socialists every where....they're behind every rock & every tree..they're every where....they're every where!
They're in Congress..they're in the White House. They're in Hollywood....they control the media.
I bet most of the teachers in this country are Communists or at least Socialists.... They need to be stopped from teaching that extreme left-wing pinko stuff to our kids...
Why if Obama has his way, we will shortly be trading with them.....trading with the world's largest communist country, China. Wow!
Hmmmmm.... we're already doing that....Boy, Obama works fast!
What's next? Trading with Cuba? Making Fidel an "honorary U.S. citizen?"
Don't put up with this communist take over of our country. Write, call your Congressman & complain.....wait, better not do that!
The only one of those people who's not a "red" is John Ensign. Call John & tell him what you think. If he's not in his office, call him at his girl friend's house.... He's probably there...
Oh,oh... More bad news for Obama.
The Senate Parliamentarian has ruled that President Barack Obama must sign Congress' original health care reform bill before the Senate can act on a companion reconciliation package.
Obama getting stymied by poll numbers...
Rasmussen's latest daily poll shows Obama now at 56% disapproval rating and only 43% approval, the lowest figures of his presidency.
It took George Bush almost six years to get to this level of job approval. Obama's managed it in 14 months. That's change we can believe in.
PierreBeauRegar said....
"Pelosi is like Obama in a lot of ways. Affirmative action baby, a dangerous, dangerous demogogue, and anti-Constitution all the way."
Are you saying that George W. Bush was wrong when he said the Constitution is "nothing more than a sheet of paper?"
Surely George wasn't/isn't an anti-Constitution man, is he???? Heaven forbid! What's next. Some one claiming that Dickie Cheney is/was against water-boarding?
What's this world coming to?
Calthompian: I had a heart attack 23 years ago at age 40 and bypass 13 years ago. I have had uninterrupted health insurance all of my life. My company tried to drop me at age 40 and I had to fight to stay insured all my life. There is NO DOUBT, OR NO QUESTION THAT I WOULD BE DROPPED IF MY HEALTH INSURANCE WAS INTERRUPTED FOR 90 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is ALSO NO DOUBT, OR NO QUESTION THAT I WOULD BE UNABLE TO GET ANOTHER POLICY IN THIS, OR ANY OTHER STATE DUE TO MY PRE-EXISTING CONDITION.
What dream world are you living in?
Republican leadership telling lies doesn't make it true. Reconciliation has been used 22 times, 16 times by Republicans, 9 times for health care issues, 4 times under the Bush administration.
I don't know why I am still surprised by the lack of intelligence I find here, but I am.
Misinformation is the greatest advantage the Republicans have, look at their constituents, who will believe almost anything.
With Easter coming up, maybe we'll get a chance to really see Harvey the Rabbit!
Vern,
I know you are an intellectual liberal so please try explain why Obama's own words shouldn't be used against him.
Specifically, his comments on reconciliation.
WillieTanner..I don't believe your insurance company tried to drop you. They paid for a bypass operation. The only way you could lose the policy is if you got laid off or fired and then COBRA takes over for 18 months. You are allowed to purchase the insurance in the event you can't get hired by another company. If none of that happens then Medicaid takes over. You've been covered all your life, why are you screaming at me? Calm down or you'll roll a seven.
The only true party to emerge in the last 200 years that espoused the preservation of the US Constitution was the Secessionist Party of 1861.
Their principles set forth back then could guide us toward national salvation and individual independence.
We have work to do before the nation self-destructs.
A taxation issue started the Republic, and a taxation issue will end it. The next civil war in our Republic will be decided by State's rights and taxation issues.
Look for the warning signs, people. Fifty percent of the population will be exposed as Marxists or Socialists.

THAT was laugh out loud funny.
And I'm STILL laughing. Thank you!
Yea im still laughing to: About how funny it's going to be watching all those Democrats cry there eyes out in November when the Republican party returns to power. And President Obama ends up a (LAME-DUCK - 1 TERM WONDER)
Tea party anyone!!!
No president in history has kicked republican
butts as hard as President Obama has.
Republicans have been crying every single day
that Obama has been in office.
Republicans have turned out to be the biggest
cry-babies in history. Add the teabaggers to
these losers and it's really laughable.
All of this means that President Obama is doing
a great job. The more republicans cry, the
better President Obama gets.
He will easily be re-elected in 2012.
Give Obama a chance?
Did not he have an election honeymoon period and a filibuster proof majority and a strong majority in the house?
What does he need....training wheels????????
No President in history has inflamed the business leaders of this country like Obama.
After a year of pitched battle with the Obama White House over health care reform, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is now priming for a the 2010 midterm election cycle in which the pro-business lobby expect to spend close to $200 million on political campaigning. Neither the Democrats, the Republicans or any one labor union has that kind of cash.
The well-funded and deeply entrenched pro-business lobby will spend heavily on GOP candidates in 2010. This fall, the chamber says it will operate in at least 22 states, targeting vulnerable Democrats who have supported Obama's health care bill.
Calthompian: Your choice not to believe me and that's why you won't allow yourself to acknowledge the shortcomings of our system. Self employed and paying $350 a month for health insurance for a family planafter the heart attack my monthly went to $870 and I had an insurance investigator at my house when I wasn't back to work in 3 weeks. Bypass came 10 years later paid by another company, who has not been a problem other than allowing a hospital and doctor to charge $120K for a bypass. I'm sure that $120K paid for a lot of medical care for the uninsured.
Don't criticize until you've been there. COBRA's great too. Who could afford it when they're out of a job. Uh, maybe my church will pay for it, or I could sell my house if it had any value, or maybe sell my car to keep health insurance. Think fast because you only have 90 days until our fine system puts you on the outside, FOR GOOD! Stay healthy pal because the other avenue ain't so good.
The pro-business lobby can spend as much as they
want but it won't work this time. These are the
people who sent most of our jobs to China.
Americans haven't forgotten 8 years of
republican failure.
Liberal and progressive organizations that helped propel Obama to the White House are also turning on Obama now. Their discontent, on issues such as health care could mean bad news for Democrats during this fall's congressional elections.
When health care reform passes this month,
Democrats will still be in the drivers seat
this November.
The party of "NO", is toast.
America doesn't want Obamacare any more now than it did before Obama made his strong arm push. This is evident to everyone except for King Obama, Princess Pelosi and Prince Harry.
Total BS larry.
Americans want and need health care reform.
Democrats will get it done.
Obama's health care bill that was passed by the Senate on Christmas Eve appears to be dead on arrival in the House, as six anti-abortion Democrats intend to join the ranks of lawmakers who plan to vote against the legislation.
You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em...
The Mighty Harry Reid will get it done.
The battle for Obamacare has been lost. Comprehensive health reform has been lost.
And if it fails, as appears very possible, Democrats will face the brunt of the electorate's reaction come November.
If it passes, however, Democrats will face a far greater calamitous reaction at the polls.
Wishing, praying or pretending will not change these outcomes.
Dear Pat,
Thank you for the letter. As promised, your check is ready for you. I'll have Mom bring it to the barbecue on Saturday.
Love,
Brian
Democrats will kick republican butt in November.
The writing is on the wall. Please stay away...
Prominent Missouri Democrats decided they'd rather be somewhere else when President Obama came to push his massive health care overhaul plan.

"No President in history has inflamed the business leaders of this country like Obama."
Nonsense.....no, total nonsense! Your statement shows your total lack of historical knowledge. I'm sure there's several right-wingers on this board who will buy into such fictional posts as you have made but it's simply not true...
Did you sleep completely through all of your history classes during school?
Have you ever heard of such people as Charles Townsend?
Have you ever heard of the "Liberty League?"
Have you ever heard of Franklin Roosevelt?
Have you ever heard of the New Deal?
Are you aware of the opposition that existed from many people in the business community toward the New Deal?
In short, the business community was sure that the American people had elected an out and out socialists or maybe even a communists when FDR took office in March of 1933.
Some business leaders thought they had seen the end of capitalism. They believed the American economic system was gone for ever....
Even out going president Herbert Hoover privately said that our democratic-republic was done, thanks to the election of FDR & the Democrats...
Larry, you disappoint me.....I thought you had more knowledge of our history and a better understanding of such things as the New Deal & the Great Depression...
Apparently not! Obama has many business people opposed to what he is doing but FDR had far more opposition from the same group!
Go read some history & then get back to me.....We will then have a great discussion...
teamster, please show any poll that shows the majority of Americans want Obamacare. If that is true, why can't Pelosi round up enough votes in the congress to get it through. If it is so wanted, it would have passed a long time ago. Please show us one (real) poll. Even CNN polls show it is not popular. A poll can't get any more left leaning biased than CNN and it still doesn't make the grade.
Polls Show 81% Of Americans Believe Healthcare Bill Will Cost More...
8 year period??????? This mess has been a hell of a lot longer than that in the making and both party had their roles.
If Pelosi had the votes it would be a done deal.
A new Rasmussen Reports poll showed that 75 percent of likely American voters were "angry" or "very angry" at the policies of the federal government, up from 66 percent in September.
A business coalition of trade groups representing the retail, construction and manufacturing industries announced on Tuesday a multimillion dollar TV ad campaign opposing the health-care reform bills President Obama is trying to enact into law.
The beauty of this plan is that it won't take effect until after the 2012 election. The increase in fees and taxes will take place immediately. If the bill passes and Obama gets re-elected we won't really know if it's a good plan or not. Those greasy bastards have us by the short hairs. Why not pass it and put it to work By July 1st.
50 million Ameraicans need health care.
Democrats will get it done.
Greedy republicans will lose again.
Half the country are greedy Republicans, the other half are stupid Democrats. Lets just say there ARE 50 million people that need Health care, which Obama says is only 30 million, but we'll use your figure. The 50 million people w/o Health Care are all Democrats. They're all getting free health care now at the Emergency Rooms. So why disturb the rest of us?
"The beauty of this plan is that it won't take effect until after the 2012 election."
Parts of it will not even take place until 2018 after Obama leaves office.
Fox News and Glen Beck fight AGAINST social justice.
Is this the real America they talk about?
The same coalition is out there fighting for the status quo that has always been there but now aided by FOX News.
I wonder if FOX would have opposed child labor laws in the early 1900's?
I wonder if polling in 1904 would have indicated that most people thought their socks would cost more if we passed child labor laws?
41
41 -- that's the number of leading economists -- including three Nobel Prize winners -- who sent a letter to President Obama and Congress yesterday urging the swift passage of comprehensive health insurance reform to curb skyrocketing health care costs.
41 -- is also the percentage of adults under the age of 65 who accumulated medical debt, had difficulty paying medical bills, or struggled with both during a recent one-year period.
RSN - your post regarding 41 economists is at the real core of the issues. Demographics: medical related inflation is sky high and we have a rapidly aging population. People think this bill is expensive wait till you try and fund medicare in about 10 years if nothing is done.
They have done a horrible job explaining things. We not explain the real motive: some day soon your choice will be 30% of your check to just fund medicare or wheel granny out back and "put her to sleep" Neither option is acceptable
It appears that RSN is having a "FOX NEWS" attack.
The one fact that Liberals can not spin is that the majority of Americans are against Obamacare...

I wonder if FOX would have opposed child labor laws in the early 1900's?"

Bingo! Bingo! You're correct! Most people who are opposed to health care reform actually are against any change in the status quo.
They will tell you that they want reform, but they just don't want the current bill enacted into law......that's nonsense! That's a bold face lie on their part...
That's the Republicans in Congress to a "T." They want NO CHANGE WHAT SO EVER! They want to destroy the Obama presidency & opposing health care reform is part of the plan in bringing that about...
The Democrats have done a terrible job in getting their message out to the voting public. But that's not a surprise.....they normally have that problem. It's like they're afraid to stand-up and be counted... I include Harry Reid in that group!
Yes, FOX NEWS would have been opposed to the various child labor laws that were enacted in the early 1900's. They would have also been against the 16th & 17th Amendments & giving woman the right to vote (19th Amendment).
Some things don't change very much....the American voting public is naive, not super intelligent, and too lazy to really study the issues and get involved in the process... My neighbor, just the other day, said to me, "Politics? I don't follow it. It's too boring..."
An argument can be made that we deserve what ever happens to us..... Of course, we have a certain percentage of the voting population who consistently votes against their own best interests. They not only vote against their own best interests, but they're proud of the fact......
Check out the trend lines:

The truth is getting through to the American people.
Less than 50% oppose health care reform. Don't let the GOP's lies and their cherry-picked polls fool you.
Why don't we play that old Taster's Choice game and use Larry's tons of personal attacks against him? We''ll replace the target of his attack with his own name:
It appears that LarryVegas is a sexist. Does LarryVegas have an Oedipus Rex complex. Or maybe, LarryVegas is a cross dresser and is jealous...
I thought LarryVegas was more intelligent then the rant in his last post.
But LarryVegas is a spinner and does not want to deal with the truth.
LarryVegas needs to go back to his/her elitist pedestal and regurgitate a little more hate...
LarryVegas is one of those guys that if I could buy them for what they are worth and sell them for what they think they are worth. I COULD MAKE A FORTUNE!!!
Does LarryVegas have an IQ over 99? Does LarryVegas have children? Does LarryVegas have a problem with telling the truth? Does LarryVegas feel judgmental?
So... Is LarryVegas a racist? Sounds like it...
Now for the boys who still wet their pants like "LarryVegas"
No matter how many times you show these dummies the quote
Liars and lunatics they are...
Don't forget about LarryVegas' ties to weasels.
LarryVegas sure needs to lay off that loco weed. He also needs to shut off that radio of his and get control of himself...
Gonna incriminate yourself, Larry, or take the 5th?
Wow, Larry, your personal attacks are off-topic and cruel.
Have you seen the trend lines?

The truth is getting through to the American people.
Less than 50% oppose health care reform. Don't let the GOP's lies and their cherry-picked polls fool you.
ksand99 is lying about the GOP lies. Obama is getting stymied by his own Democratic Party...
Fact-free rhetoric from Larry. I posted proof that health reform is seeing less and less opposition.
Your rhetoric is tired and debunked.
Public opinion polls, however, haven't shown a turn in favor of the legislation.
The Gallup Poll, for example, found this week that 45 percent supported the legislation and 48 percent opposed it, essentially unchanged from a December survey and a slight drop in support since January.
ksand99 rhetoric is spinning and lying...
Actually, the pollster.com analysis, which includes the Gallup poll, shows a clear decrease in opposition to the plan since January, when ALL polls are looked at to get the overall picture.
If you didn't cherry-pick polls, maybe you would see that.
Furthermore, the majority either favor health care reform, or have no opinion, if only 48% oppose it. That means 52% support it or have no opinion. The minority, 48% oppose it.
ksand99 continues his spinning and lying... Twisting and turning is the best he can do.
The majority of Americans are opposed to Obamacare...
Rasmussen Reports said this week that 43 percent of voters strongly disapprove of Obama's performance, as opposed to only 22 percent who strongly approve.
Perhaps most troubling for the president is the fact that, among independents those numbers are 45 percent disapprove to only 17 percent who approve.
And there's more...
And in an online poll by CBS News, people were asked to grade Mr. Obama on nine issues or characteristics and to give him an overall grade.
In each and every case, a whopping majority -- gave him an "F."
In every area.
Certainly, it's an unscientific poll, but consider the source: CBS News, hardly a right-wing organization.
Nearly 80 percent gave the president an overall grade of "F." But his worst grade was reserved for his signature issue, health care: 82 percent gave him an "F."
An online poll?
You once called an online poll "unscientific." Now you think they're ok, so long as they support your hatred of Obama? Got it.
Larry's Lesson of the Day: Just throw your principles out the window when you can find any old poll that agrees with you.
As for Rasmussen, their credibility has always been in question. Many have found their reports have a "house effect."
"As many people have noticed, Rasmussen's polls this year have tended to be more favorable to Republican candidates and causes than those of most other polling outfits."
"So far in the 2010 cycle, their polling has consistently and predictably shown better results for Republican candidates than other polling firms have. "
When one's polling numbers don't coincide with the group, there's a term for that: outlier. Maybe you should pick up a dictionary and look that up.
That is, if you're not too busy cherry-picking any old internet poll...
"As for Rasmussen, their credibility has always been in question."
By silly people perhaps....of the major polling companies they had the most accurate prediction of the popular and electoral college win by Obama.
Polls that are based on the potential voting population will always show higher numbers for Republicans than polls based on general population.
But heck...if the lib crowd want to be foolish and drink koolaid push polls....then PLEASE....continue to do so.
LarryVegas hates Obama, but his hate for the president is matched only by the intensity and blind devotion that he has for George W. Bush...
No surprise there....
Larry gets bent out of shape each & every time I mention the name of the clueless man from Texas.
His favorite statement, when I bring up George's name is, "move on, Bush is no longer president."
My favorite reply is, "thank god for that..."
El_lobrow hated Bush, but his hate for that president is matched only by the intensity and blind devotion that he has for Obama...
El_lobrow gets bent out of shape each & every time anybody's mention the name of that crook and weak man from South Chicago.
Conservative-leaning?
Time Magazine: "A survey published on Dec. 3 by the conservative-leaning polling group Rasmussen Reports found that 52% of Americans polled..."
Rasmussen had a column for the right-wing publication WorldNetDaily.
"But in the early days of his polling firm, when it was named Rasmussen Research, Rasmussen balanced a cold analysis of politics and consumer opinion with advocacy for some conservative views. For a short time around the 2000 elections he wrote a column for WorldNetDaily, once arguing that President Bill Clinton had "ratified the Reagan Revolution" by declaring the end of big government in Clinton's 1996 State of the Union speech. "From that moment forward," wrote Rasmussen, "both Republicans and Democrats began to fight over their policy differences within the political framework created by America's voters and articulated by President Reagan."
"In other columns, and in a 2001 company-published book titled A Better Deal! Social Security Choice, Rasmussen made the case for privatizing the nation's oldest entitlement program. "In fact, 46 percent of American adults say that relying on the government is riskier than letting workers invest for their own retirement," wrote Rasmussen in a Jan. 10, 2001 column arguing that incoming President Bush should push for private accounts. "Just 36 percent say letting workers invest is more risky, while 18 percent are not sure." In the book -- not a huge seller, but promoted by Rasmussen at an August appearance at the libertarian Cato Institute -- the pollster argued that "giving workers more control over their 'contributions' will put the 'Security' back in Social Security."
"Since then, Rasmussen's business has boomed, aided in no small part by those "newspaper" questions that are blasted out to reporters and frequently buck up the Republican spin of the week. "Every pollster wants to promote his own research," said Brent Goldrick. "It makes sense for Rasmussen to promote questions that are more newsworthy.""
You may like their polls because they agree with you, but the more sensible approach is to look at all polls together to find the ones that are outliers, and the ones that should be trusted.
In a Gallup poll, one that was done scientifically and can be trusted, unlike Larry's silly internet poll, 49% of Americans trust Obama on health care.
Only 32% trust republicans.
That's a huge gap!
It is clear, more Americans trust Obama to deal with health care than the republicans.
Gallup is geared toward general population and not voting population.
But even with that....48% against ObamaCare and 45% for.
Thanks for quoting a poll against ObamaCare.
ksand99 can't get his facts right if he had to.
48% against ObamaCare and 45% for.
ksand99 would rather spin a lie than tell the truth.
Little boys have little ways...
Elected official represent both voters and non-voters, SgtNance.
Only 48% are against health care reform? All this time you guys have been telling us that a huge majority of people are against it!
Turns out, only 3% of Americans don't like it, more than like it, and opposition to reform is falling?
You mean you guys have been exaggerating and overstating opposition to health care reform?
Good to know!
Hey Larry, why do only 32% of Americans trust republicans with health care?
Why are they so afraid of the republicans ideas on health care reform?
What have the republicans done to discredit themselves in the eyes of the American people?
What I want to know is how far will ksand99 go to continue to discredit himself in front of his fellow posters by his spinning and lying...
Obama made more foreign trips during his first year in office -- 10 trips involving stops in 21 nations -- than any U.S. president before him. Now, with the fate of health care reform, his top legislative priority, so uncertain, a number of prominent Democratic strategists have begun questioning whether Obama's aides should have scheduled more domestic travel.
Hmmmmm...I see PvtRock has found his way out from under that rock that he hides under.....
I don't hate George W. Bush. I just tell the truth about clueless George and the right-wingers take it as "hate speech." No surprise there....
I'm discrediting myself by quoting polls from polling institutions that you've quoted today? Um, if that discredits me, then it discredits you, as well, Larry.
Hey Larry, why do only 32% of Americans trust republicans with health care?
What have the republicans done to discredit themselves in the eyes of the American people?
Your wasting you time there ksand99. I don't have the time or inclination to answer your silly little boy type questions.
Go bother someone who gives a crap...
Ever notice that Larry rarely answers direct questions? What is he hiding?
He says that 48% of Americans are against health care reform, but only 32% of Americans trust the republicans with health care reform.
In fact, 49% trust Obama with health care reform... that's higher than health care reform is polling!
Listen to the American people... let Obama handle health care reform!
ksand99 can't tell the truth if he had to.
48% against ObamaCare and 45% for.
ksand99 would rather spin a lie than tell the truth.
Little boys have little ways...
Now that there won't be health care reform, good luck paying for your $100 a day cancer drugs. And by the way, if you think health care is recession proof, think again.

Your wasting you time trying to fire me up with your personal attacks there ksand99. I don't have the inclination to answer your silly little boy type questions.

There you go, breaking the comment policy again by posting the same comment on different pages.

Those are all quotes from you...
As President Obama and his congressional allies search for a way to pass their proposed health care plan, most voters remain opposed to the legislative effort.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 42% favor the plan while 53% are opposed. These figures include just 20% who Strongly Favor the plan and 41% who are Strongly Opposed.
I'm glad the trend line for health care reform is headed towards lower opposition.
http://www.pollster.com/blogs/2010-03-10...
It seems the public is beginning to see through the lies of the health insurance lobby and the GOP!
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 42% favor the plan while 53% are opposed.
Yeah, but all the national polls, when you look at them together, show a steady decline in opposition to health care reform.
I think looking at a single poll is silly and cherry-picks an outlier, rather that looking at the full picture.
Plus, with Rasmussen himself having a history of writing for far-right publications like WorldNetDaily, I think you should broaden your information horizons. You might learn something.
Health care reform will pass this month.
The greedy, lying republicans will have to find
something else to cry about.
Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are getting the job
done.
These heartless republicans will have to crawl
back into their hole.
Yeah, but all the national polls, when you look at them together, show that more people are against ObamaCare than for ObamaCare.
Also, many of them show that the strongly against far outpace the strongly support.
On the other hand, I want Democrats to ignore all that and drink the koolaid.
We need Republicans to win!!!!!!!
Heartless republicans will lose again.
Thank God the party of "GREED" is out of power.
Senator Scott Brown said that Obama in the first year of his administration spent too much time and energy on healthcare and other issues and not enough at trying to end the current economic recession.
"From my travels and conversation with people throughout this country, they told me they want their president and Congress to focus on creating jobs and reviving America's economy. Instead, for more than a year now, we have seen a bitter, destructive and endless drive to completely transform America's healthcare system."
According to posts from the far-right followers here, there's a 3% spread between those who approve of health care reform and those who do not.
LarryVegas may think we should delay health care reform, like the republicans did for decades. The millions of Americans who suffer because their insurance company drops them when they get sick, or runs them around while they seek treatment know better.
The countless number of women who are denied care for having "pre-existing conditions" like being victims of physical abuse know better.
We are within weeks of having real health care reform, and there's nothing the far-right can do to stop it.
Interesting take on ObamaCare by DAN THOMASSON
Scripps Howard News Service
"Part and parcel of the President's determination to shove ObamaCare down the throats of Americans is his promise that it actually will begin to ease medical costs. If it does, that would be the first time in the nation's history that government promises of cost containment proved accurate. As we all know, the original costs projections for Medicare and Medicaid weren't even close to the ultimate costs."
I don't know about you but I feel the finger of deceit creeping closer to my cash.
Those of you who continue to rail on against health care reform simply refuse to face reality. Someday, it will smack you right in the kisser.
Check out this short letter; it echos the REAL
NEED for reform, notwithstanding the obvious moral, ethical, and common sense imperative staring us all directly in our collective faces.

If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one. If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat. If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life. If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.
If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.
If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.
If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.(Unless it's a foreign religion, of course!)
If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.
If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh. A liberal will delete it because he's "offended".
