Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki files for re-election

Nevada Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki, who had considered joining the crowded field seeking to take on U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, has filed for re-election.

Krolicki filed for re-election on Thursday in Carson City. So far he is the only Republican in the race that includes three Democrats and one minority party candidate.

Democratic contenders include Reno Councilwoman Jessica Sferrazza; Robert Randazzo of Sparks; and Robert E. Goodman of Pahrump.

Ryan Fitzgibbons of Las Vegas filed as a candidate with the Independent American Party.

Candidate filing closes March 12. Nevada's primary election in June 8.
