Solar Power manufacturer Ausra has been bought-out by energy service provider Areva, the companies announced this morning.
Ausra founded the solar thermal power component manufacturing plant located near the Town Square development in Las Vegas.
“Power generation and industrial steam customers can count on AREVA to deliver the most cost-effective, land-efficient and water-conservative technology, backed by its financial strength and worldwide market presence,” said Dr. Robert E. Fishman, former CEO and Chairman of Ausra.
Fishman now leads AREVA’s Global Solar Business Unit from Ausra’s Mountain View, Calif., headquarters.
