Metro Police released surveillance video images of a man wanted in connection with a Tuesday bank robbery.

Bank robbery
Metro Police are searching for a man who they say threatened to blow up a bank in the area of Eastern Avenue and Warm Springs Road on Tuesday night.
Police said the man approached a teller about 6:30 p.m. and dropped off a note. Before the teller could read it, the man became upset and threatened to blow up the bank, authorities said.
He then pulled out a handgun and moved to another teller’s window and demanded money. The teller complied and the suspect fled, police said. Police weren't identifying the bank.
The man was described as white and in his late 20s, standing about 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was unshaven with long blond hair that police say was likely a wig. He was wearing a cap, black jacket, sunglasses, black pants, a white T-shirt and black shoes.

I thought banks had armed security?
Thought I saw him in Juarez earlier today, maybe they should check there this evening.
Very few banks do, and for good reason. There is a much higher likelyhood of an innocent bystander being injuried if a guard wants to be a hero. A guard's only purpose, officially, is to "observe and report". With the advent of non-stop video recording from multiple cameras there is little need for a live guard.
Money is replaceable, life isn't. (That isn't to say that life can't be pretty cheap these days.)

This could be one of the Nelson brothers who haven't sold an album in about 20 years, although they came out with a few within that time with record sales sitting at "0". When was the last time a bank robber blew up a bank? I would of called B.S. and told him where the mens sunglasses were.

Banks will always turn over the money. They counter this by keeping relatively small amounts of cash at the teller cages, usually only a thousand or two. The longer the bad guy stays in the bank the more likely they will get a good ID or other evidence to catch him with. Bad guys know this, too, and just want to get in and get out in most cases.
The dirty secret of the FBI is that they almost never catch a bank robber who robs only once who has half a brain. Banks know this, so they try to take away the incentive by making the haul too small to be worthwhile in *most* cases.

I think that nobody knows what it is like to go through something like this. So for all of you to make jokes and say that banks do this on purpose is just absurd. Being held at gun point is never a joke. These people have families and you should consider these peoples feelings. My prayers and thoughts go out to you. I hope they catch whoever did this.He just makes me ill.
He has now committed a Federal Crime and will be hunted for the rest of his life, even crossing state lines will not help. It's not worth it! Only an idiot would tell him NO and risk all the other employees and customers getting shot because of a couple thousand dollars. The money is fully insured. It's foolish to push a bank robbers buttons, I have been in several and the last thing I was thinking of was ticking them off.
