North Las Vegas Police late Monday were investigating a double shooting in which one man was shot in the chest. Police said the men likely shot each other.

Police spokesman Tim Bedwell said officers responded at 9:31 p.m. to the shooting near the intersection of Harvard Street and Tonopah Avenue. That location is about one-half mile southeast of the Interstate 15 and Lake Mead Boulevard interchange.

No arrests had been made late Monday, but Bedwell said each man might have shot the other man.

"We may have both of the shooters," Bedwell said. "It's possible they were shooting at each other."

Both men were taken to University Medical Center with injuries that didn't appear to be life-threatening, Bedwell said. He said detectives were also trying to determine whether another suspect might be involved in the shooting.

Police recovered one weapon at the scene. Authorities were investigating the events that led to the shooting.
