Since embarking on his meteoric career at the age of 16, Siegel Group founder and Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Siegel, has had the same guiding principle – acquire undervalued assets and work tirelessly to improve them. This was the idea behind the young Los Angeles native’s first deal, the purchase of a 1984 Volkswagen. After adding some of the latest accessories, Siegel sold it for a 50 percent profit and was hooked. The same principle is at the heart of Siegel’s current operation which owns and operates over 30 Las Vegas properties with nearly 1,000 full time employees and has been named twice by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest-growing companies in the United States. Learning the basics of buy-improve-and-sell through by buying and selling cars, at the age of 21, Siegel purchased his first piece of real estate and founded Prestige Motors, a one-bay mechanical auto repair shop which he repositioned as a collision center, growing the enterprise into a $2 million business. Six years later, Siegel sold Prestige, using the proceeds to acquire a majority stake in Uncle Howie Products, a struggling business involved in the manufacturing of children’s upholstered furniture. The company was immediately restructured under Siegel who used his business acumen to expand operations and increase sales and efficiency. He successfully negotiated, secured and managed licensing for brands such as Nickelodeon’s Blues Clues, Mattel’s Barbie, Pokemon and Betty Boop and expanded the company’s product line into national retailers including Sears, Target, JCPenney and Toys-R-US. The Siegel Group in Las Vegas has opened five new boutique hotel properties. These new properties include The Gold Spike Hotel & Casino; Oasis at Gold Spike; The Resort on Mount Charleston; The Artisan Hotel; Rumor. Other Siegel Group business holdings include Siegel Suites; SASCO Properties; McAlister’s Collision Centers; Senor Jugos, a Latin juice concept and Siegel Slots & Suites, an innovative new concept to brand select hotel-casino properties acquired by The Siegel Group.
