As president-elect for 2010, Bell will lead GLVAR and its nearly 12,500 members as its president in 2011. After graduating from the University of Texas, he worked for a commercial real estate firm, managing more than 1 million square feet, then for a Houston-based construction firm. He worked at the Howard Hughes Corporation from 1987 to 1990, managing special projects and tenant construction work in Hughes Center. Since then, he has run a local real estate firm with his wife, Wende. He also serves on the board of the Commercial Alliance, the commercial real estate division of GLVAR. He has been president and treasurer of the Fremont Rotary Club and is involved in the Las Vegas Woods and Water Club and Episcopal Parish of Christ Church Vestry.
