Metro Police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run collision with two pedestrians on Charleston Boulevard that left one woman in critical condition this morning.
Police spokesman Marcus Martin said the pedestrians were hit while walking across Charleston Boulevard in a crosswalk about 1 a.m. He said a vehicle described as a black or blue car with a broken windshield was traveling westbound on Charleston when the crash occurred near the intersection with Las Vegas Boulevard.
He said both victims were taken to University Medical Center, where one was said to be in critical condition, but has since been stabilized. The other victim suffered a broken leg, Martin said.
Anyone with information is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.

Why can't drivers in this town obey the traffic regulations? Every intersection has someone running a red light.
Las Vegas has got to lead the nation in Hit & Run accidents involving injury. Horrible.
Many of these obviously occur around the strip, and folks are BLOTTO behind the wheel and therefore RABBIT. Others without proper legal standing also book when they bash.
Another reason we have so many horrible accidents involving pedestrians is that the set-back from the roadways is INDADEQUATE to the Nth. And that is true valley-wide.
You can get whacked walking down the sidewalk. Or waiting for the bus. In an instant. BOOM!
DUI attorneys get rich from getting drunks off. While innocent citizens are victimized everyday, just going to work, or running errands. Sad State of Nevada.
The camera that's at Charleston and Las Vegas Blvd
should have caught the incident.
If there not setup for recording they should be, and out of all of the Fast Cams around town that one seams like it's always working unlike some of the other ones.
I wonder if they even thought to check it and if they didn't maybe they will now.
