The Chipmunks have The Chipettes, and apparently The Skooners have a female counterpart as well: The Ladyboys. While the singing rodents’ estrogen-enhanced rivals at least sing their own tunes, The Skooners may have a lawsuit on their hands.

The Ladyboys, who performed their second show First Friday at the Gypsy Den, not only sang some Skooners originals, claiming them as their own, but also had the nerve to bust out some Army of the Red Sparrow tunes, belonging to Skooners bassist Max Supera.
Also unsettling? The booty-shaking singer, whose Daisy dukes, which were hitched a bit too high for her hairy legs, had other masculine features surprisingly similar to those of Skooners frontman Blair Dewane. In fact, every member of The Skooners seems to have a twin sister in The Ladyboys lineup. I’m sensing a serious catfight on the horizon.
