CARSON CITY – An Army officer who served in Iraq has been named executive director of the Nevada Office of Veterans Services.
Gov. Jim Gibbons has selected Caleb Cage of Reno for the job to succeed Charles Harvey who held it for only a short time before returning to his post as director of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act that handles federal stimulus money.
Cage is a graduate of West Point and attained the rank of Army Captain. He was awarded the Army’s Bronze Star for his service in Iraq. In his new post he will be charged with helping 339,000 veterans and their families in Nevada.
He has been senior policy advisor for rural and veterans issues for Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki.

Wow -- the governor made an amazing choice appointing Mr. Cage. I've had the pleasure of working with him a time or two and he will do a fantastic job leading NOVS.
I hope he looks into the "Sean Hannity Freedom Concert" that is going to be held August 27 at the Orleans. "VoteVets," "CREW," as well as conservative columnist Debbie Schlussel, have questioned the amount of money going to Vets and their orphans. "Charity Navigator" gives the effort a "two star - needs improvement" rating.
With about 70 fallen troops with Nevada connections since 9/11, how many of their children received anything from the this charity? and how much?
