Pedestrian collision
A 49-year-old man who died from injuries after being struck by a car Thursday at the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Pecos Road has been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as Barnaby Nolan, of Las Vegas.
Investigators said a blue 2006 Ford Mustang was eastbound on Charleston when it struck Nolan about 12:14 p.m. The Mustang was approaching Pecos Road with a green traffic signal when the man was walking south across Charleston from the northwest corner of the intersection, police said.
Nolan wasn’t in a marked crosswalk and was crossing against a traffic signal, police said. He was taken to University Medical Center and was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The coroner’s office said he died of multiple blunt force trauma as a result of the crash. His death has been ruled an accident.
Police said the driver of the Mustang, identified as 24-year-old Curtis Henderson, wasn’t injured. This is the 39th fatal traffic collision in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
