Ed Farmer is general manager and Eric Vargas is sales director of the Big League Dreams Sports Park. Before coming to Las Vegas, Farmer served as general manager of the company’s sports parks in Cathedral City, Calif.; Gilbert, Ariz.; Manteca, Calif.; and League City, Texas. He has been with Big League Dreams since 1998.

City National Bank Nevada Regional Executive Larry Charlton was appointed to the Early Childhood Advisory Council by Gov. Jim Gibbons.

Jerry Adler is general manager of the Shoppes at Palazzo and the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian for General Growth Properties. Adler is responsible for daily operations and management of the two shopping centers, public safety, as well as tenant relations.

Halee Harczynski is entertainment and special events manager for the two properties. Before joining General Growth, Harczynski was special events coordinator for the Venetian and Palazzo.

Glaser Weil Fink Jacobs Howard & Shapiro Senior Litigation Partner Mark Krum has joined the Las Vegas office from Los Angeles. He will work in the areas of securities litigation and corporate governance litigation as well as complex business disputes. Krum has been a partner with the firm since 1992.

Andrew Sedlock joined the firm from Snell & Wilmer. He has experience in many areas of commercial litigation including intellectual property matters.

Corporate giving

CORE Construction kicked off it’s Christmas in July food drive to benefit Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada on June 22. The food drive continues through July 28 at the company’s offices at 7150 Cascade Valley Court, 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

J.W. Zunino & Associates participated in the National Park Service Callville Bay Beach cleanup and eco drive at Lake Mead National Recreation Area in celebration of Earth Day and Landscape Architecture Month.

SuperPawn employees helped to make-over the store inside the Stella Fleming Senior Assisted Living Center operated by Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada. Employees provided labor and the company donated new inventory. In addition, SuperPawn is working with Three Square to help maximize food programs for those who live in the center.

Miscellaneous

The estate planning and probate law firm of Jeffrey Burr Ltd. and the elder law firm of James M. O’Reilly LLC will merge. The merger will create a new elder law services division within Jeffrey Burr to compliment the firm’s estate and tax planning practices. The firm will be known as the Law Firm of Jeffrey Burr and will maintain offices at 2600 Paseo Verde Parkway in Henderson and 7881 W. Charleston Blvd. in Las Vegas.
