President Barack Obama addresses the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and LVCVA at the Aria Resort and Casino on Feb. 19, 2010.

President Obama will discuss the economy on Friday during an invitation-only speech at UNLV.

Air Force One will arrive at McCarran International Airport at 5 p.m. Thursday and Obama will campaign for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on Thursday night.

The president will give remarks at UNLV beginning at 9:20 a.m. Friday, the White House said today. Sun columnist Jon Ralston first reported Obama's visit to Las Vegas last month.

Obama is scheduled to leave Las Vegas at 10:30 a.m. Friday.

Reid's campaign last week e-mailed invitations to supporters to sign up online to attend the Thursday rally at CityCenter's Aria.

Campaign officials billed the 5:30 p.m. rally as "An Evening With Barack Obama and Harry Reid."

Obama's last visit to Las Vegas was in February, when he appeared at Aria and Green Valley High School during a trip to promote health care reform and Reid's re-election.

First Lady Michelle Obama was in Las Vegas last month promoting youth activities at the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
