Fatal shootings
Metro Police continue to investigate the deaths of three people -- including a mother and daughter -- Sunday in the 1800 block of Warrenville Street in the western Las Vegas Valley.
Officers said a man, identified as Gregg Thomas, 23, of Las Vegas, apparently forced his way into a home and fatally shot two women. The location of the shooting is southeast of the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Hualapai Way.
The victims were identified by police as 50-year-old Anoush Sarkisian and her 22-year-old daughter. Both lived in Las Vegas. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, police said.
Thomas, who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head and was outside the apartment when police arrived, died of his injuries at UMC on Monday.
