Current job: Government affairs director, Carrara Nevada
Education: UNLV, master’s degree in history (in progress); University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, Minn.), Bachelor of Arts in political science
About Sean Fellows: As government affairs director for government relations firm Carrara Nevada, Sean Fellows is dedicated to ensuring that the interests of the more than 13,000 members of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors are well-represented in Southern Nevada. This includes assisting with GLVAR’s public policy, political and regulatory matters as well as overseeing the fund-raising efforts of its three political action committees. A former Intelligence Officer in the United States Air Force who holds the rank of captain and continues to serve as a member of the U.S. Air Force reserve, Fellows is committed to broad-spectrum service: service of country, service of community and service of the public. His passion for public service prompted him to run for Nevada Assemblyman, Henderson District 29, in 2009. Although he lost the race, he made an impressive showing and – more importantly – gained valuable personal and professional insight. “Sometimes in life it’s the hits you take and how you pick yourself up from them that really defines you,” said Fellows, who includes serving as a commissioner for the Nevada Office of Veterans Services among his myriad community efforts. “There’s no higher honor than serving those who have served. I am also proud to be an advocate and a voice for Realtors as they try to provide for their families.”
