About Ryan Martin: In less than 10 years, Ryan Martin has risen through the ranks from marketing analyst to vice president with Colliers International – Las Vegas, one of the top commercial real estate companies in Southern Nevada. Martin is accredited as a Certified Commercial Investment Member, a designation that is pursued by commercial real estate professionals who want to elevate their business practices through education and networking. Martin began his career at Trammell Crow in Reno, and within two years of starting as a marketing analyst, he was appointed to head up the company’s Las Vegas brokerage department. After joining Colliers in 2006, he has used his knowledge of tenant representation, site selection and strategic consulting to earn the VP title. Martin serves on the board of directors for the CCIM Southern Nevada chapter and chairs the group’s programs committee. He is also a member of the Links for Life Foundation, the charitable giving project at Colliers that holds an annual golf tournament that benefits dozens of child-based charities in Las Vegas.

The most important issue facing the valley: Short term is unemployment. Long term is the diversification of our local economy.

My mentor and why: Par Tolles, president of DP Partners, because Par provided me with the proper foundation on which I have been able to build on. Leading by example, Par instilled wisdom, direction, leadership and knowledge both professionally and personally.
