Joseph, Thompson to play final home games for Findlay

Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 | 12:31 p.m.

This weekend will be your last chance to watch Findlay Prep basketball stars Cory Joseph and Tristan Thompson.

The Pilots on Friday and Saturday will conclude the regular season by hosting the Showcase at Findlay-Henderson International. They will play Westwind Academy of Arizona at 7 p.m. on Friday and Impact Academy of Nevada at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Joseph and Thompson, who are both part of the exclusive 24-member McDonald’s All-American team, helped Findlay go undefeated last year and win the national title. This year, Findlay (27-2) is ranked No. 3 by USA Today and is a virtual lock to be invited to the eight-team ESPN Rise national tournament, where the Pilots will defend their national title.

Thompson, who signed with Texas, is averaging 16.1 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. Joseph, who is uncommitted and considering UNLV, averages 17.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. Both are considered top 30 prospects nationally by multiple recruiting services.
