Water discussion set for Boulder City

Want to learn more about the area's water supply and its future?

The Desert Research Institute is hosting a panel discussion on water in Southern Nevada Feb. 26 in Boulder City.

Panelists are to include DRI hydrologist Doug Boyle, Bureau of Reclamation Regional Deputy Director Terry Fulp, Southern Nevada Water Authority General Manager Pat Mulroy, UNLV Director of Sustainability and Multidisciplinary Research Tom Piechota and DRI President Stephen Wells.

The group will discuss how the water supply could be impacted by climate change, the need to diversify water supplies, improving river flow and lake level modeling and conservation.

The event will be from 11:30 a.m. To 1 p.m. at DRI's Boulder City lab, at 1500 Buchanan Blvd, and will include lunch and a tour of the facility.
