Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010 | 2:44 p.m.
Metro Police are investigating an injury accident near Flamingo Road and Decatur Boulevard that left a suspected drunk driver in critical condition after he ran from a collision. The man was struck by a car while running away, police said.
Metro Police spokesman Jay Rivera said officers received a report at 1:12 p.m. of a hit-and-run crash. Rivera said the victim of the hit-and-run followed the car and witnessed the man hit another vehicle nearby.
The victim of the second crash got out of his car and "disabled" the suspected drunk driver's car so he couldn't drive away, Rivera said. The man then fled on foot and was struck by a vehicle while crossing a street.
He was taken to University Medical Center's trauma unit, Rivera said.

I'm curious as to how the car was "disabled" after the second crash.
.... don't you pay attention when your watching a movie?
I'm guessing he reached in and grabbed the keys.
and then the third car "Disabled" the driver!
what the freak in going on these days? Is this the new fad? dangerous, reckless driving with no responsibility is now part of our bill of rights? WTF tells these people that this behavior is acceptable? How do they remember to even wipe their own as%ses?
Poetic justice:
It's crazy out there on those Boulevards, I mean these people have no business being behind the wheel..
Good riddance.
i hope he dies from his injuries
God, what have the roads become for Drunk drivers? Bumper Cars? You hit someone (possibly kill them) and you keep going? Hit someone again, and keep going? Just... this is sick. Where's the responsibility for one's action? Where's the accountability? This guy will get a lawyer and claim "Innocence" and will argue it wasn't HIS choice to drink and drink, it wasn't his his CHOICE to leave the scene of an accident... It's not "his fault"... God, I'm starting to fear driving, knowing all these drunk drivers, and UNDERAGE drunk drivers are out there on the road.
