The iconic Amanda Lepore will be a monthly resident performer at Heaven.

“Heaven has a new address, and it’s at Bare, Saturday nights,” says Eduardo Cordova, creator of Revolution’s The Closet Sundays. Beginning March 20, Cordova’s new weekly LGBT dance party, Heaven, will transform Bare pool into an outdoor nightclub where nearly anything goes.

Guests will be greeted by winged angels at the entrance to the Mirage pool complex and escorted inside where more angels (good and bad) roam and dance. A performance stage has been placed at the far end of the small pool, the DJ booth relocated and the cabanas swathed in white and blue. Above, a laser-light show creates an implied roof, while below, a custom, clear-acrylic cover transforms the pool into a dance floor, and Le Reve performers frolic in the hot tub. Says Cordova, “Imagine White Party every Saturday night.” (And if you know anything about the gay party circuit, you know about that It party weekend of the year.)

Opening night will feature resident DJ duo the Perry Twins as well as a surprise performance (hint: “Meow!”), the following weeks bringing DJ Brett Henrichsen and monthly resident performer Amanda Lepore. While the party is LGBT-focused, “I call it ‘rated E for everyone,’” says Cordova. “Gay, lesbian, straight—we don’t want to discriminate.”

Building on the success of his Sundays at Revolution, Cordova says a very supportive Light Group has given him carte blanche for Heaven. And while the party must be more conservative inside the casino, “at Bare,” Cordova says, “all bets are off. And yes, even the shirts.”
