They were still partying, celebrating and dancing as Day 1 of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit supermodels’ visit to Las Vegas ticked over the midnight hour into Day 2. Our contributing photographer Scott Harrison and loyal Vegas DeLuxe reader and videographer Richard Corey were on red carpet duty at Jet in The Mirage for the lineup of bikini beauties.
The models had a fun time taking turns on the mic in the DJ booth. Adam Levine and his band Maroon 5 arrived at Jet at 11:45 p.m. and stayed late into the night and early morning. Adam talked with all the ladies at the tables, and Jessica White requested songs all night long from DJ Sky Nellor.
The event at Jet was the first of three nightclub parties the glamour girls have over their three-day stay. Tonight, they will be feted at the Hard Rock Hotel’s new Vanity nightclub by hometown rockers Maroon 5, and afterwards, or early tomorrow at 1:30 a.m., the party moves on to Tao in The Venetian.
Our coverage yesterday of Day 1 and the 18 swimwear sensations led by their cover girl Brooklyn Decker included an official welcome by Mayor Oscar Goodman at The Mirage’s volcano and a meet-and-greet at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville in the Flamingo.
Here is today’s Royal Robin Rundown of their appearances:
*Swimsuit models Irina Shayk, Anne V and Sonia Dara will meet fans in The Mirage lobby from noon to 2 p.m.
*Dominique Piek from South Africa, who shot her layout in the Maldives, Israeli model Esti Ginzburg, who shot her pictorial in Rajasthan, India, and Montreal beauty Zoe Duchesne, who shot on the beaches of Atacama, Chile, will be at Le Cabaret in the Paris at 1 p.m. today for two hours of autograph singings.
*Julie Ordon, Genevieve Morton and Cintia Dicker will kick it up a notch with a tailgate party at celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse’s Stadium in the Palazzo from 3 to 5 p.m. It’s free admission, plus the first 300 people get a free autograph copy of the new 2010 issue.
*Tonight at 9, red carpet arrivals get underway for all 18 femmes fatales at Vanity. This renamed Club S.I. Swimsuit for the night features Maroon 5, and all the magnificent models will parade on a catwalk.
*Day 3 gets started at 1:30 a.m. when the group treks to Tao for Swimsuit Overtime, which will expand the normal Thursday night Worship Party.
We’ve had full photo and video coverage of each high-heeled step of the Sports Illustrated sex symbols. We’ll update throughout the day and post our final blowout pictorial right here tomorrow before the luscious ladies leave town, ending their whirlwind three-day visit.
Meantime, here are Richard’s videos for your viewing pleasure.
