Who better than platinum pinup and reality TV star Holly Madison to be the biggest cheerleader in Las Vegas for today’s Super Bowl XLIV showdown between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts? Last night and into early this morning, Holly hosted The Big Game pre-festivities at Lavo in the Palazzo.
Contributing photographer Scott Harrison and photographer Denise Truscello were on the scene when Holly arrived sporting a No. 18 Peyton Manning jersey, Colts hat and striped knee socks, leaving no doubt she is rooting for Indianapolis today. Joined by friends including Playboy Playmate Laura Croft, who celebrated her birthday at Tao on Thursday with Holly and friends, Holly fueled up for the party and big game with dinner at Lavo.
Taking over a VIP table afterwards in the boutique nightclub, she was a true cheerleader, dancing with pompoms to the sounds of DJ Skratchy while fans clamored to take pictures with the blonde bombshell. Holly took to the stage as the crowd chanted her name repeatedly, and she grabbed the mic and screamed, “Hello, Lavo Las Vegas! Welcome to the Holly Bowl!”
Two of her best friends, Kendra Wilkinson and Kim Kardashian, are rival reality TV stars down in Miami at game time. Kendra is married to Colts kingpin Hank Baskett and Kim because she’s lovingly linked with Saints star Reggie Bush. All three girls -- Holly, Kendra and Kim -- are reality TV rivals, too, on E! Entertainment.
Holly resumes her starring role in Peepshow on March 1 at Planet Hollywood, and her own new reality TV series Holly’s World starts filming in March for June airdates on E!
Meantime, our Tao nightclub in The Venetian and its sister nightspot Lavo in the Palazzo have set up a Super Bowl XLIV Tao lounge funhouse for all the stars in Miami. Tao executives took over the Wall Nightclub inside The W Hotel in South Beach to keep Las Vegas front and center during the Super Bowl 44 weekend fun.
Celebrity DJ Swizz Beatz, the producer of Jay Z’s No. 1 smash hit “Empire State of Mind” with Alicia Keys, played the song multiple times for New York Yankees stars and World Series champions Alex Rodriquez and Derek Jeter, who sat across from each other but reportedly never said hello.
Dave Annable of ABC’s hit drama Brothers & Sisters and his girlfriend Odette Yustman walked the red carpet hand in hand. Comedian Chris Rock arrived at Tao’s Super Bowl party asking for good friend Jamie Foxx. After learning he was not in the building at that moment, he decided to sit with fellow funnyman David Spade until Jamie joined him, and then they all jumped on the mic. Chris belted out the Run DMC line, “I’m the king of rock!”
Kristin Cavallari of MTV’s The Hills was over the moon with her visit to the Motorola suite by the pool because she was given a new Droid phone. Lost heartthrob Josh Holloway joined the fun and celebrated last week’s season premiere of what will be the hit ABC drama’s final season.
Other celebrities at Tao’s weekend bash included Tinsley Mortimer, Guy Oseary, Michael Bay, Chace Crawford, Kevin Connolly, Amanda Bynes, Dhani Jones, Gabrielle Union, Wilmer Valderrama, Lance Bass, the Wayans Brothers and Rony Seikaly.
