Supermodel Brooklyn Decker, who is the wife of tennis superstar Andy Roddick, is set to arrive in Las Vegas next Wednesday, and she is being heavily tipped to be the cover girl of the new Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition being unveiled here next Tuesday.
The following 2010 Sports Illustrated models will reportedly make the trek to Las Vegas next week: Brooklyn, Anne V., Bar Refaeli, Christine Teigen, Cintia Dicker, Damaris Lewis, Dominique Piek, Esti Ginsburg, Genevieve Morton, Hilary Rhoda, Irina Shayk, Jessica Gomes, Jessica White, Julie Henderson, Julie Ordon, Sonia Dara and Zoe Duchesne, along with The Sports Illustrated Group Editor Mark Ford and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Editor Diane Smith.
The identity of the cover girl is cloaked in the tightest security but will be revealed by David Letterman on his CBS late-night show on Monday night. It’s due to be broadcast at 11:30 p.m. PT but is taped at 5 p.m. ET, which means the mystery model should be named by 3 p.m. here.
The model herself will appear with him on his Tuesday night broadcast, and after attending a launch party at Provocateur in Manhattan, will join all the models from the swimsuit edition to fly on a special dedicated charter Air Trans flight for a jam-packed, three-day visit and celebration in Las Vegas.
Our ROYAL ROBIN RUNDOWN of next week’s appearances was posted on Tuesday. Next Wednesday at The Mirage’s Jet nightclub, the Asian tropical locations will be re-created for the introduction VIP party. Then on Thursday at Vanity in the Hard Rock Hotel, the supermodels will parade to the music of Maroon 5, followed very early Friday morning with a 1 a.m. after-hours bash at Tao in The Venetian.
In addition to the rumors that Brooklyn is the cover girl, there also are rumblings that Sports Illustrated might even have selected a “nude” photo for the cover, with Brooklyn’s only modesty being body paint. She does appear on the inside pages in a revealing body-painted pictorial layout.
