The executive committee of the Nevada Republican Party has ratified Feb. 18, 2012 as the date for its presidential caucus.
Party Chairman Mark Amodei says the early caucus will make Nevada the third Republican contest in the country and the first in the West.
Nevada's Democratic presidential caucus _ also the third in the nation and the first in the West _ was set last fall for Feb. 13. 2012.
