Comedian Frank Caliendo announced today that he will be ending his run at the Monte Carlo after more than a year as one the resort’s headliners.

Caliendo said he wants “to focus on family and other projects.” A date wasn't announced for his final show, but a release from the performer indicated it will be in the spring.

"Performing at Monte Carlo is an experience I won't soon forget. From day one, the support from the staff and fans has been amazing," Caliendo said in a statement. "However, the demands of traveling from Phoenix and away from my family have been harder than I anticipated. With this move, I hope to take advantage of opportunities in television and film that will allow me to spend more time as a husband and a father."

The comedian, know for his impressions of celebrities like John Madden and former President George W. Bush, began his stay at Monte Carlo in October 2009. He became the headliner in the resort’s theater in September when magician Lance Burton ended his stay after 14 years.

Caliendo shares the theater with the Jabbawockeez dance troupe, which performs Tuesday through Saturday.
