Juan Manuel Lopez, Rafael Marquez rescheduled for Nov. 6

A featherweight title fight between Juan Manuel Lopez and Rafael Marquez has been rescheduled for Nov. 6 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Top Rank officials confirmed the news to the Las Vegas Sun Monday afternoon.

The bout had been scheduled for Sept. 18 but was postponed when Marquez suffered a hand injury from slamming it in his car door.

Lopez (29-0, 26 KO) is the current WBO featherweight champion and is coming off his first title defense — a second-round stoppage win over Bernanbe Concepcion.

Many believe Marquez (39-5, 35 KO), the current WBC interim featherweight champ, will be his toughest test to date. Marquez is coming off a third-round stoppage win over Israel Vazquez.
